Our medical consultant Raymond E. Beckering, Jr., M.D. was a former hospital chief of staff, and a county medical examiner for more than 30 years. It was his job to review the medical work of his many colleagues, and they looked to him for answers to their toughest questions. He was truly a doctor's doctor.
Educated at the University Of Michigan Medical School and trained by the Mayo Clinic, he spent 35 years in clinical practice.
A decade ago Dr. Beckering decided that, by leaving the increasingly bottom-line approach to health care, he could help people even more.
